Born before 1225; son of Archibald I, Lord of Douglas, and Margaret Crawford.

Andrew de Douglas of Hermiston, from which the Morton line sprang, was born prior to 1225 and died circa 1277. He was the 2nd son of Sir Archibald de Douglas and younger brother of Sir William "Longlegs", ancestor of the Black Douglases. (S1).

He was living in 1259. (S1).

He died about 1277. (S2).
